It was very exciting, working on a new series of work specifically for our shared exhibition. All of these new pieces were created just after I returned from two months travelling around Thailand and Cambodia. It was the most amazing experience and I filled a wonderful sketchbook with images and ideas that inspired me on my journey - yet all the work still ended up being my usual blue/grey palette!... apart from a couple of paintings that incorporated a vivid flash of orange which represented the constant images of Buddhist monks and textiles in shrines. (I'll try and post my original photographs that inspired these later)
